More and more families are discovering the sense of comfort and peace that a white dove release brings to the family members and friends at the end of a loved one's funeral or memorial service all over the country, and, now available in our area. Once the religious service has concluded, we will give all who attend especially the family members the chance to touch a single white dove before releasing the dove. We play a hymn or special song in honor of the deceased. During the playing of the music, a single white dove is released in their loved one's memory, (if there is a predeceased spouse, a dove is released for that spouse as well) followed by the release of more white doves from remote baskets. Once all of the doves are released, they will join together in a group and fly in a circle above the ceremony while the music continues to play. The result is a very beautiful ending to the service and a warm memory made for family and friends...a great way to bring closure to what can be a heart-breaking experience.
